ITINERARY
Day 1 ”Arrival”
Land
at Cartagena International Airport, where a representative of Mantaraya
will welcome you and take you to a spectacular colonial Hotel in the
marvelous Cartagena de Indias better known as the walled old town. This
day you will get to meet with all of the fellow travelers, you´ll have
time to rest and get ready to start the adventure. During the night you
will have the chance to experience the best cuisine the Caribbean has
to offer coupled with an old colonial environment.
Meals Included: Dinner.
Accommodation: Hotel in the walled city.
Day 2
An
early start awaits us on a 55 min. boat trip heading towards the
National Park of “Las Islas del Rosario”. Once we arrive to the Lodge
we indulge ourselves with a delicious fruit cocktail before we go for a
walk or snorkeling. In the afternoon we’ll be visiting the “enchanting
lagoons” where we will await the sunset to enjoy the magnificence of
its bioluminescence.


Meals included: Breakfast, lunch & Dinner.
Accommodation: Rosario Lodge.
Day 3
Tour
to the Oceanario home to dolphins, turtles, sharks, rays, flamingos,
the exotic nail alligator, and the almost extinct sawfish, among
others. We´ll experience the most colorful and exotic snorkeling of the
whole trip. Simply magnificent. Then a rewarding celebration will take
place lit by torches in the Fiesta Night.

Day 4
Time
to relax and sleep late if you feel like it. Brunch and last chance to
snorkel another nice site nearby The Lodge, visit the native Community
of Orika or just relax in a hammock. In the afternoon, our transport
picks us up and we´ll head back to Cartagena. At sunset, we will pick
you up in a carriage at your hotel to take a tour through the old city
where you´ll appreciate its well-deserved worldwide fame for its
antique colonial architectural structures.

Day 5
Your
last view of Cartagena and and then jump on a plane heading south to
Leticia Capital of the Colombian State of the Amazon the site of
endemic flora & and fauna. Once installed and acclimated to its 30º
C (88º F) and its very high humidity we will take a city tour through
Leticia to fully appreciate its public market, parks, and the
watch-tower over the Amazon river. There we can see how at sunset
hundreds of parrots gather around, while enjoying fresh tropical fruits
and juices.

Accommodation: Amazon Decalodge.
Day 6
This
day will hold lots of adventure. The Canopy Tour. It´s amazing, 140
feet tall. The spot is great to enjoy the other jungle, the one that´s
only perceived from high. Unsuspected and colorful birds.
Back to Leticia, a deserved rest and dinner we will await for us. We will need it for the next day!

Day 7
Boat trip going to The Amacayacu National Park.
On our way we will visit Isla Micos (the island of the monkeys) where
hundreds of monkeys come out to see what fruits we´ve got for them.
After lunch we visit the realm of the pink and gray dolphin: Lake
Tarapoto. A magical lake where gray and pink dolphins live plentiful.
Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch & Dinner.
Accommodation: Amacayacu Lodge.
Day 8
Back to Leticia. Already
in Leticia we can relax at the hotel pool, while lunch is getting
ready. When the day falls down we will visit a Huitoto Community where
we will be able to learn something about sacred plants and its rituals.
At night we will have the opportunity to say good bye to the Amazon
with a special Dinner and some Colombo-Brazilian drinks in the Fiesta
Night.

Day 9 Back To Bogota
Breakfast
and free morning. When the time has come we will pick you up to take
you to the airport to catch the flight back to Bogotá.
Once
in Bogotá after installed in the Hotel we will say good bye to our trip
in the famous "Andres Carne de Res" a great restaurant and nightclub
which is recognized as the hottest one in South America.
Meals included: Breakfast, lunch & Dinner.
Accommodations: Bogotá Hotel
Day 10: "Hasta la vista"
transfer to “El Dorado” International Airport. Be well and hope you’ll come back soon.
Meals Included: Breakfast.
Accommodation: Not included
